Description:
Slender, erect perennial that reaches a height of 3 to 4 feet. A dense spike of purple flowers appears July to September. Likes full sun but can tolerate partial shade. Grows best in moist, acidic sandy soil. Attractive to bees, hummingbirds and butterflies. Low maintenance plant that may be resistant to deer.
