May 2nd Update:

Passive recreation at a safe social distance is now permitted in our state parks and forests. Most state park buildings and facilities remain closed to the public. Restrooms have opened and you can check the state park webpage for more information. Parking lots are limited to 50% capacity. Face masks are encouraged. Please be safe and respectful so we can keep the parks open.

If you see illegal activity (ORV abuse, illegal dumping) call 1-877-WARN-DEP and press option 2. The parks and forests are under more pressure now than ever and we need to help protect them.

Hike, bike, kayak and explore. The Pinelands offer you the opportunity to connect with the outdoors and nature and learn about the unique history of southern New Jersey. Learn more by clicking on the links below.
