Description:
Characteristic Pinelands oak tree 35 to 50 feet tall. Full sun, dry to medium soils. Drought-tolerant. Fruits are oval acorns and an improtant source of food for wildlife. Leathery, dark green leaves shaped like a cross. Durable wood has been used for fence posts.
