Description:
Light green fern similar to A. filix-femina ssp. angustum. Grows taller, up to around waist height and grows best in moist to wet conditions with part shade in both uplands and wetlands. Widest part of frond is near the base. Spores mature in the summer and are brown. Fiddleheads emerge in the spring.
