Smooth Alder

Description:
The tree grows with multiple trunks and up to 36 feet tall with an average spread of 11.5 feet. Trees are found in sunny areas of wetlands. Male flowers are a brownish-yellow and female flowers are red and appear in the spring. The fruit is dark brown and cone like and mature during the fall.
