PPA is proud to present a sensory garden “Crackle, Crinkle, Chirp, Croak, Croon” which tells the story of the Pinelands from seed to abundant life. Listen to the fire that opens pinecones in order to release their seeds which then gives birth to the full bloom of hundreds of native plant species. Listen to the ripples in the waterways, the wildlife that dwells, and the whisper of the wind brushing the sand of the Pinelands.

Board President Pat Butenis

The Flower Show will bloom bigger and brighter than ever before with exciting new exhibits, special events and activities, recreational spaces including the Kids Cocoon & Play Space, and several dining options. “In Full Bloom” will take place in South Philadelphia’s Franklin Delano Roosevelt Park (FDR Park) from Saturday, June 11 through Sunday, June 19, 2022. A variety of ticket options are available for guests, along with several returning and new events that will appeal to both seasoned fans of the Show and new audiences. Regular and select special event tickets are available for purchase now at: phsonline.org/the-flower-show. FDR Park is located at 1500 Pattison Ave & South Broad Street.

Visitors have the opportunity to experience the beautiful vistas and rolling landscape of FDR Park, a registered historical district. Designed by the Olmsted Brothers – sons of Frederick Law Olmsted, the designer of New York City’s famed Central Park – the park was the host location for the 1926 Sesquicentennial Expo of the United States. FDR Park is an inspiring venue that contributes to the splendor that the Flower Show is known for, while also being easily accessible by public transportation and car.

Update as of June 13th:

We are so proud to have received 3 ribbons so far! It is very heartfelt that we won the special ribbon “PHS Gardening for the Greater Good Award”! This award recognizes PHS’ primary mission: The Garden for the Greater Good is PHS’s showcase of beautiful horticulture, set inside the 2022 Philadelphia Flower Show. Annually, PHS creates gardenscapes that celebrate the belief that horticulture has the power to make positive social and environmental change — and that each one of us can harness that power.

We also received a Class Commendation Award and a Third Place ribbon!
