Dates: July 1 – 3, 2024 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM daily
Location: Rancocas Creek Farm, located at the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, 17 Pemberton Rd, Southampton NJ 08088

The Pinelands Preservation Alliance and Rancocas Creek Farm announce a special teacher training opportunity.

We will spend three days studying the key elements of sustainable food production and the management of healthy landscapes. Soil ecology, ecosystem services, biodiversity and plant biology will be our focus during this hands-on program. Events include a tour of Rancocas Creek Farm and Rutgers University Marucci Center for Blueberry and Cranberry Research.

For any educator interested in developing sustainable agriculture, organic gardens or green infrastructure activities and experiences in their classes and schools.

We are proud to offer this annual training opportunity to educators. The only cost is a $50 registration fee that is refunded to you after successful completion of the course.

Program Instructor: Ron Smith

Ron Smith is the environmental education coordinator and environmental science teacher in the Haddonfield School district. Since 2000 he has developed field studies, community science projects and interdisciplinary curricula for the high school environmental program. Ron directs the Drexel University Environmental Science Leadership Academy. For 20 years Ron has worked with the Pinelands Preservation Alliance on Pinelands education projects and since 2007 has led the Life Science Field Training Institute.
