PPA has opened it’s restored barn and conference center for weddings and other catered events.

In 2019, Pinelands Alliance (the Alliance) completed renovations of its historic dairy barn. Now, this rustic venue called Bishop Farmstead is the site of weddings, special events, conferences, and educational programs.

The historic barn and gardens at the Bishop Farmstead are available to rent from the Alliance for a variety of events that are catered by Jeffrey Miller Hospitality Group. JAM Hospitality Group has been in business for over 45 years and is one of the Delaware Valley’s best wedding and event catering companies. All events held here generate financial support for the Alliance’s mission to protect the natural, cultural, and historic resources of New Jersey’s Pinelands. You can hold your event here with delight, knowing that your event supports a larger mission!

Location Details

Constructed in 1932, this vintage barn oversees 12-plus acres of native grasslands, a historic farmhouse built in 1753 by a second-generation Quaker farmer, and the Alliance’s 72-acre Rancocas Creek Farm. The property is also home to Pinelands Alliance’s head offices.

Our historic red barn has been transformed into a great gathering place. The barn offers contemporary comfort and energy efficiency, yet still retains its authentic character. For weddings and private celebrations, the “big red barn” opens onto beautiful outdoor spaces for garden ceremonies and cocktails, while the interior is scaled for dinner and dancing for as many as 200 guests.

The rustic charm of Bishop Farmstead blends perfectly with the surrounding forests and fields to offer a charming countryside setting for weddings, large and small.

Being away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby suburban zones, the fresh air and sunshine ambiance make it a unique spot to host corporate and non-profit events like meetings, company parties, and more.

The beautiful and inviting barn loft space and the landscaped gardens offer a lovely, relaxed place to host special events like baby and wedding showers, celebrations of life, mitzvahs, and many others.

When you choose the Bishop Farmstead as your event location, you are supporting the Pinelands Alliance’s efforts to protect rivers, wetlands and forests; organize cleanups and trail work; protect wildlife habitat; and offer educational programs to young and old. For more than 35 years, the Alliance has been the only organization solely dedicated to protecting the Pinelands National Reserve.
