Tour de Pines Day 4: Barren Backroads

Sunday’s ride departs from the Pinelands Alliance offices in Southampton, NJ, and winds through the scenic farm fields of Southampton before heading into Tabernacle and Chatsworth. Along the way, you’ll experience quiet back roads and long, straight stretches lined with towering pines.
The long route ventures into Chatsworth, the “Capital of the Pine Barrens” and the Cranberry Capital of New Jersey, where you’ll have a second opportunity to stop at the legendary Hot Diggidy Dog for a bite to eat. From there, you’ll continue to Tabernacle, where you’ll meet up with the short course, and you can choose to stop at either Nixon’s General Store or Russo’s Market—two well-known Pinelands establishments—for refreshments.
After taking in the area’s scenic farmland, the route heads back toward Southampton with a final stretch through the historic village of Vincentown before returning to the Pinelands Alliance.
As this ride serves as the Grand Finale of the 2026 Tour de Pines, we’re offering post-ride food & drinks within the Alliance’s renovated barn. Spellbound Brewing of Mount Holly, NJ provides beer for the post-ride festivities.
