Part 1: From Ice Ages to Rising Seas: Understanding Climate Change in the NJ Pinelands
When Pinelands Preservation Alliance was founded 35 years ago, there was little awareness of the global changes that were already underway. In the decades since, the urgent threats posed by climate change have become apparent in all areas of our lives. The New Jersey Pinelands is experiencing increased fire risk, flash droughts, flooding, sea level rise, and impacts to Pinelands species. Pinelands Preservation Alliance has been advocating for policies that would reduce the pace of climate change and help communities prepare for its impacts.
