Access Nature: The Bugle Call

Greetings Everyone!!!

Your friendly neighborhood Access Nature Disability Advocate, here. I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season with your friends and family! As a key part of this initiative, I’ll be releasing blog posts periodically when stories arise, or hot topics are made known to me. For various subjects – like updates on progress with the initiative in the Pinelands region. But also, the development made throughout the state and even nationwide specifically related to our goal of making nature more accessible. I’ll include inspirational stories of individuals from the disabled community who are passionate about the cause to expand accessibility to nature.

Additionally, and most importantly, the blogs will be used as a bugle call to the local communities for volunteer help for various tasks such as trail development and maintenance as projects arise, help with developing and holding events, and help with activities in the pinelands that are inclusive for our disabled community. Seeking guidance, knowledge, and connections on items like types of adaptive equipment, where to find it, and avenues we can go down to help acquire it. These bugle calls will remind us to stay dedicated, be active in the cause, and be advocates – petition local, county, and state officials to meet our goals.

Moreover, this is an arm of the campaign to expand our friendships, establish partnerships with public and private sectors, and create a productive dialogue. This arm of the initiative is just another avenue for all concerned with this topic to put forth concerns, promote ideas, and establish solutions to achieve our goal of making New Jersey’s outdoors more accessible to all those who want to enjoy its magnificence.

Remember stay active everyone! Be heard! Through dedication, cooperation, and communication we can and will achieve our goals. If you have any information that you think will be valuable to this blog and/or the initiative, please feel free to contact me at sean@pinelandsalliance.org

Climb to Glory!!!
