The NJ State Trail is a project to link existing trails and sand roads into a network running the length of New Jersey. It is an initiative of long-time conservationists and is now being implemented throughout the state by a variety of teams and individuals working in each area.
This upcoming year should result in a fully marked and mapped trail in the Pinelands, running from Cape May Point State Park in the South to Colliers Mills WMA in the north, totaling approximately 180 miles of continuous trail in the Pinelands alone. From there, the trail will continue north into a variety of Wildlife Management Areas and other lands until it reaches the trail’s terminus at High Point State Park.
We will be connecting the trail from Route 528 to a previously blazed portion.
