Online Adventure: Wilderness Survival – The Map
In order to continue operations during this time, Pinelands Adventures has developed a series of Online Adventures to bring New Jersey’s Pine Barrens to you with their most popular programs! These interactive programs last about an hour each. You’ll need to be ready to learn and have fun with a good internet connection.
Whether it’s a simple trail map, or a detailed topographical map, having a map of the area you are going to is extremely helpful and sometimes imperative in finding your way around in the wilderness. Once you understand the fundamentals, maps can often provide information that basic GPS cannot.
Come hangout with Pinelands Adventures as we talk about half of the navigation process, The Map! Unlike a GPS, it doesn’t require batteries and it never loses reception. The skills you will learn here can be practiced literally anywhere once you understand the fundamentals.
