Learn about the Wharton State Forest Visitor Map

The Pinelands Preservation Alliance is hosting this information session. You can attend in person or virtually.
First, we will review the new Wharton State Forest Visitor Map, a draft of which will be released by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) on January 24th. Then we will discuss potential improvements/changes to better protect Wharton’s natural resources and habitats while maintaining reasonable accommodations for recreation and sight-seeing.
DEP is accepting public comments on the draft Visitor Use Map from January 24th to March 9th. This session will help you understand the map and formulate your public comments.
