February 15 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Cedar swamp

Share:

Double Trouble, ghost forest, cedar shakes. While this isn’t a recipe for witch’s brew, these three things do have something in common: The Atlantic white cedar tree.

Do you want to build a historic-style cedar shingle roof with a hammer and nails? Want to hear the story of uncovering the Meadowlands ghost forest? Want to hike into and explore a cedar swamp?

Come to the first annual Species Celebration at the Forest Resource Education Center on Saturday February 15th, 2020 from 1PM to 4PM to experience all this, see a sawmill cut lumber from logs, and more…

Plus, you can bring home your very own Atlantic white cedar seedling to plant!
