Carpenter Frog Hike – Wharton State Forest

Meet the Wharton Naturalist at the Atsion Office in Wharton State Forest across from Atsion Lake, for this FREE guided hike. Your walk will follow the marked hiking trails back to a wide section of the Mullica River that should be full of the sounds of carpenter frogs! Listen for song birds and look for signs of beaver activity. Learn about the biology and ecology of this area of Wharton State Forest as you go.
The hike begins at 10:30 am. 3-4 miles. Bring plenty of drinking water, snacks, and a lunch. Call the Nature Center at (609) 567-4559 for more info.
