The Pine Barrens - up close and natural

Press Reviews     The Film Premiere     Film Credits

The Pine Barrens - up close and natural is a beautiful and educational nature film that explores the Pine Barrens ecosystem, the plants and animals that add to its biodiversity and the water that sustains it.

Produced by the award winning film cooperative, Natural Art Films, The Pine Barrens - up close and natural is designed to further the mission of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, and broaden appreciation for this special place. The high quality nature film highlights the light, water and movement in the 1.1 million acre Pinelands National reserve. Stunning aerial shots show a contiguous wilderness in an urbanized area.

The cast of this film represents the biodiversity the region is famed for: a chorus of Pine Barrens Tree Frogs call to the oncoming rain, a Pine Snake guards her eggs, an otter feasts in the river and a myriad of plants adapt to a region called "barren" by early settlers.

This film will show a side of the Pinelands to those who travel through it but not into it. It will create a real appreciation for the wilderness in the state and the backyard of 9 million people.

PPA will distribute this film to the public. Check back here for further information on how to obtain this beautiful film
