Pinelands Preservation Alliance

Pinelands Visitors Center

Our new Pinelands Visitors Center provides a gateway to the Pinelands for those who are new to Pinelands exploration, and a terrific resource for those who already know their way around but are looking for more information and ideas.

 The Visitors Center includes:

  • large-scale, detailed maps of the Pinelands region;
  • informational literature about the Pinelands, conservation issues, and organizations working to preserve the Pinelands;
  • State Park and other trail maps;
  • educational materials;
  • interpretive displays;
  • an interactive virtual "eco-tour" video installation,
  • a bookstore featuring an extensive offering of both non-fiction and fiction titles, movies, maps and clothing with Pinelands themes.

Visitors also can see and learn about the historic Bishop Farmstead where the Alliance’s headquarters and the Visitors Center are located.   The farmhouse was built in 1753 and reveals a fascinating history of the colonization, settlement and exploitation of the region.

The Visitors Center is a one-stop resource that enables visitors to access information about the natural and cultural resources of the Pinelands, as well as learn more about how to enjoy these resources responsibly and the continuing efforts to preserve this unique region for future generations.

During the winter, the Pinelands Visitor Center is generally open weekdays 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and by appointment on weekends. Call to be sure we are open or to make arrangements for a weekend visit.  Give us a call if you would like to schedule a visit for yourself or your organization.
